Bravo is reportedly in the early stages of casting “Next Gen LA,” a potential spinoff of its hit series “Next Gen NYC.” While two celebrity siblings have already declined to join the cast, several Bravolebrity offspring are still considering the opportunity.
Alabama & Landon Barker Are Out of the ‘Next Gen LA’ Lineup
Alabama and Landon Barker won’t be joining the cast of Bravo’s potential new reality series “Next Gen LA,” despite speculation circulating online.
A representative for the siblings confirmed to TMZ that neither has signed on for the Los Angeles-based series, which is being developed as a companion show to Bravo’s hit “Next Gen NYC.” While early reports tied the Barker siblings to the rumored project, they have reportedly declined the offer.
According to Just Jared, producers had approached several children of Bravo stars and other celebrities to appear in the yet-to-be-greenlit series. However, Alabama and Landon passed, and rumors that former Disney Channel star Skai Jackson would appear were also debunked.
Bravo’s “Next Gen” Spinoff Builds on Franchise Momentum
The Los Angeles version of the successful series is expected to highlight the lives of young adults raised in the spotlight as they forge their own identities in Southern California.
As reported by Just Jared, names said to be in consideration include Nick Dubrow, the son of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” stars Heather and Terry Dubrow; Alexia and Sophia Umansky, daughters of Kyle Richards; Preston Pippen, son of Larsa Pippen; Mason Grammer, daughter of Camille Grammer; Adrienne Maloof’s sons Gavin, Colin, and Christian; and “Dance Moms” alum Nia Sioux.
On a recent episode of “Jeff Lewis Live,” Adrienne Maloof revealed her sons had been approached, saying, “They’re coming to us to want to do this show… It’s up to them.”
Nick Dubrow’s father, Dr. Terry Dubrow, also addressed the rumors on Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” podcast, saying, “I can’t confirm or deny, but he may have been approached. There may be some things brewing. You might want to talk to Andy Cohen about that.”
Terry added, “I think of all the ‘Next Gen’ places, LA is probably the best. Think about how many people you know, both in the Bravo universe and outside of the Bravo universe, who have kids who we know. They look like their parents. They’re in the LA scene. It’s very dynamic.”
Additionally, Cynthia Bailey shared on “Jeff Lewis Live” that her daughter, Noelle Robinson, has also been approached. “I don’t know what Noelle wants to do yet. It’s totally her decision,” Bailey said. “She’s been watching [the show]. I’ve just been like, ‘Keep watching and see how you feel about it.’”
Other rumored participants include Sophie Beador, daughter of “RHOC” star Shannon Storms Beador. Sophie was tagged in a post by celebrity stylist Julius Michael, who wrote, “The Next Generation is 🔥 @sophiebeador. All grown up and becoming the #queen she is,” alongside hashtags including #NextGen.
