“Southern Charm” star Leva Bonaparte shared her thoughts about her castmate, Craig Conover‘s split from “Summer House” personality Paige DeSorbo.
According to Reality Blurb, Bonaparte spoke about Conover and DeSorbo’s relationship on the “Valley” star Brittany Cartwright‘s podcast, “When Reality Hits.” Bonaparte said she believed the former couple’s split was “sad.”
“You could tell they were in love. When I was around them, like they were so cute and they kind of had, like, a fun dynamic,” said Bonaparte on the January 17 podcast episode.
Bonaparte said, however, that while she enjoyed the former couple’s dynamic, “you could also tell it was strained.” She noted that DeSorbo was not always at Conover’s events due to her busy schedule.
“They both have so much going on,” said Bonaparte to Cartwright.
Bonaparte also referenced that DeSorbo and Conover were in a long-distance relationship during their three years together. She said she did not think “Paige was ever gonna move” to South Carolina, where Conover resides. In addition, she said she did not believe Conover would move to New York City, where DeSorbo lives. She said for these reasons, she does not “know that [she] was necessarily, like, shocked” when they ended their relationship.
“Because these are big things,” said Bonaparte, who confirmed that she reached out to both Conover and DeSorbo following their split.
She also said she hopes that DeSorbo and Conover “find amazing people” to date in the future.
Madison LeCroy Spoke About Craig Conover’s Breakup
Bonaparte is not the only “Southern Charm” star who has weighed in on Conover and DeSorbo’s breakup. According to E! News, Madison LeCroy said that she offered words of support to Conover following his breakup while filming a January 9 Amazon Live.
“I just told him, ‘You’re going to be a great husband, you’re going to be a great dad one day. You have so much to look forward to, like, just be lucky you didn’t already have those things and then go through a breakup,'” said LeCroy.
Paige DeSorbo Reacted to Cheating Rumors
DeSorbo confirmed that she and Conover had broken up in the December 30 episode of her podcast, “Giggly Squad.” She said that she still is “the biggest fan of him and want[s] the best for him.”
E! News reported that Conover addressed his breakup in a January 7 Instagram Story. He said that the split was “very, very unexpected.”
“I was very shocked and it’s ok, it takes two people to be in a relationship. You can’t control other people you can only control how you react to it,” said Conover in his Instagram Story.
Following the breakup, rumors circulated that DeSorbo had been unfaithful to Conover and was romantic with “Saturday Night Live” star Marcello Hernandez. DeSorbo said the rumors were untrue in the January 7 episode of “Giggly Squad.” In addition, she said she texted Hernandez about the situation, which he found humorous.
“I just texted him, I was like, ‘Hey, just wanted to let you know there’s, like, a rumor going around that I cheated on my boyfriend with you.’ And he was like, ‘[Expletive] yeah!’” said DeSorbo on her podcast.
She said, however, that she ended up apologizing to Hernandez because he received negative comments from Bravo fans who believed the rumor.
