Kristen Doute is sharing images of her adorable daughter!
“The Valley” star spoke with Us Weekly on Tuesday, July 1, to dish on becoming a first-time mom and to show off Kaia Lily.
She welcomed Kaia on June 11 with her fiancé Luke Broderick.
She expressed her joy over her daughter.
“I feel really lucky, really fortunate. Truly, I could not have dreamed this,” Doute told the outlet. “She is the most perfect thing I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Doute said that while she is incredibly happy, she is exhausted. “The tired thing is no joke,” she added.
She Has Shared Her Difficult Journey to Motherhood
Doute has been open about her difficult road to motherhood. The Bravo star previously experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage before welcoming her daughter.
The reality TV veteran revealed in November 2023 that she had a miscarriage in an episode of her podcast. She said she wanted to share her loss, as so many women have gone through something similar.
“I only feel comfortable talking about this because I know so many friends of mine have gone through this,” she said at the time. “I know so many women have been through this. And it’s really [expletive] terrifying because you always think, ‘What’s wrong, what did I do wrong? Could I have done something different?'”
While speaking with Us Weekly, she praised Broderick for being by her side.
“After our pregnancy loss, I was like, This is it. Luke and I had talked about this. I’m eight years older than him — what if we try every last thing and none of it works?” she recalled thinking.
“But he was down to stay with me. He loved me. He was like, ‘We’ll figure it out.’ I feel lucky,” she gushed.
Doute Is Already Thinking About Baby No. 2
Doute said her fiancé is already in baby mode.
“Luke’s like, ‘You know you’re the most fertile right after having a baby, so we can go for No. 2!'” she said of her partner.
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum said she is just focused on her daughter for the moment.
“One week in, I’m just thinking about Kaia. I can’t imagine not giving her all of my love, affection and attention,” she began. “But I also know if we want a second one, we shouldn’t wait a long time to try.”
She did say the two would love to have another child if it’s possible. “I’m sure we’ll need help again with our fertility doctor,” she said. “I hope we’re that lucky, but I know what to expect a little bit more next time around.”
