“The Valley” star Kristen Doute announced she and her fiance, Luke Broderick, will soon be the proud parents to a baby girl.
On December 9, Us Weekly reported that Doute told the publication her castmate Brittany Cartwright knew the gender of her baby before she did.
“Luke and I didn’t want to have a big reveal party, but we did want the gender to be revealed to us! Brittany is my best friend and we share an OB, so it made perfect sense to have my doctor call her with the news,” said Doute to the publication.
Doute also shared she believed her fiance will excel as a father to a girl.
“Luke was made to be a girl dad,” said Doute during the Us Weekly interview.
Kristen Doute & Luke Broderick Told Fans They Knew if They Were Having a Boy or a Girl in November 2024
In a November 2024 episode of their podcast, “Balancing Act,” Doute and Broderick told their fans that they knew whether they were having a boy or a girl.
“We know the gender. We know now. But we are keeping that to ourselves just for a teeny bit longer. But you’ll know by next week. We just wanted to keep something close to the chest,” said Doute on her podcast.
Broderick also said his child’s gender would not impact how he would parent.
“Boy or girl, I have always thought I would essentially treat them the same as for activities. And what to do with them,” said Broderick to Doute while recording the podcast episode.
Kristen Doute Opened up About Her Personal Growth in October 2024
Doute opened up about her personal growth in an October 2024 interview with Us Weekly. She said that she was reserved in her actions on “The Valley” season 1, compared to how she acted on “Vanderpump Rules,” which she exited in 2020. She attributed her change in behavior to going to therapy and her relationship with Broderick, who proposed to her in September 2024.
“I feel that I showed a lot of restraint that viewers were probably not expecting. And that had a lot to do with all the therapy. And the work that I put into myself. But also I lend a huge thank you to Luke. Because for once, I have my person standing up for me. And help me fight these ridiculous battles,” said Doute during the October 2024 interview.
The upcoming second season of “The Valley” does not yet have a release date.
