Even though it wasn’t until season 3 that their friendship budded into romance, the connection between “Southern Hospitality” stars Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese was obvious from the very beginning.
Joe Bradley and Maddi Reese Were Just Friends When ‘Southern Hospitality’ Debuted
Bradley and Reese started out as best friends when season 1 of “Southern Hospitality” aired in 2022. Both happened to be VIP servers at Republic Garden & Lounge, while Reese doubled as a DJ who often performed at the Charleston bar. But even back then, Bradley had secret romantic feelings for Reese.
At the time, Reese wasn’t single, so Bradley had to wait—with one infamous hook-up. But all that waiting paid off at the start of 2024 when Reese finally became single.
Her on-again, off-again relationship with Trevor Stokes came to an end after not one but two cheating scandals. This meant Bradley could finally make his move. According to Us Weekly, the pair’s romance finally went public after the show’s season 3 trailer was teased in November of 2024.
During the trailer, fans were shocked when Bradley and Reese seemingly got married—in of all places—Las Vegas.
Was the Wedding Between Bradley and Reese in Las Vegas the Real Deal?
It wasn’t just fans that were shook up when the reality show’s February 13th episode aired. According to E! News, castmates were equally as shocked. The couple got married at a chapel in Sin City. But was it real, or does what happens in Vegas stay in Vegas?
The ceremony was done in true Vegas fashion. An Elvis Presley impersonator met the couple and some of their friends. However, Bradley later revealed that the nuptials were really just a “commitment ceremony” and were purely symbolic of his love for Reese.
So no, not a legally binding wedding—though both Bradley and Reese did exchange vows in front of their friends. And while this might not have been the couple’s actual wedding, neither Reece nor Bradley shied away from the idea.
“Even though me and Maddi started dating four months ago, I think our love story goes way before that,” 29-year-old Bradley shared following the ceremony. “Especially mine. This is not a real wedding, but it will be a real wedding one day soon. I just want to lock her down.”
Though it’s doubtful, the King of Rock and Roll’s impersonator would be doing the honors.
During a confessional, the 27-year-old DJ said that in the past, regarding men, it was difficult to think about the one.
“I just feel like in the past with men, it was hard to think about ‘the one,'” Maddi confessed. “And, in this moment, I’m looking into a glimpse of my future right now and it doesn’t look all that scary.”
That’s good news for Bradley. However, Reese didn’t give a timeline for when a supposed wedding could take place. Or where, for that matter. A Vegas repeat, anyone?
New episodes of “Southern Hospitality” air Thursday nights on Bravo.
