Bravo fans may have been treated to another star’s performance on “The Masked Singer” after Scheana Shay made her surprise appearance as Bat on March 5.
On March 26, Yorkie made her blinged-out, glittery pink debut on the show with Chappell Roan’s song, “HOT TO GO!”
Viewers have already guessed that the singer under the puppy costume is none other than “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne.
“I’m 100% sure the Yorkie on #TheMaskedSinger is @erikajayne,” a fan tweeted after the performance.
A viewer replied, “Just watching @MaskedSingerFOX now, 100% @erikajayne. Sounds just like her and the clues were spot on especially the infamous ring! Also, I know her mannerisms way [too] well!”
Another posted, “Obsessed with Erika Jayne doing The Masked Singer.”
A fan wrote, “You have to give it to her, all these housewives that tried to have their own singing career, they’re not Grammy winners, aside from [Kandi Burruss], but Erica has a following and does pretty well.”
Clues That Yorkie Is Jayne
Yorkie gave some hints that she may be Jayne before her performance. As the undercover star saw her costume for the first time, a bedazzled diamond necklace on Yorkie’s hoodie was clearly visible.
As “RHOBH” fans know, a large diamond is held as a prop by the housewives during the show’s intro.
“But don’t be fooled by the designer dog look. I still got a bite. I mean, Yorkies are bred to catch rats, which is a good skill to have when you’ve been through everything I’ve been through,” the “Masked Singer” contestant said.
“And girl, I’ve been through a lot of crazy stuff,” the mystery person told the camera, which could be a reference to Jayne’s ex-husband, Tom Girardi.
As Yorkie primped in front of the mirror, she held up a large diamond ring, which was another “RHOBH” clue.
“Lucky for me, I’ve had music, and it’s the only place I can truly express myself,” Yorkie said, possibly referring to Jayne’s singing career.
She continued, “It rescued me in my darkest hours and has led me here, and now I’m ready to fight for top dog status.”
After Yorkie finished her song, she gave another Easter egg that tied her to Jayne, per MJS BigBlog. “Well, I was down bad, but then a lovely lady in Beverly Hills adopted me, and now I’m wearing Chanel and eating caviar,” she told the judges.
Jenny McCarthy wondered if Yorkie was Chelsea Handler because of her sassy sense of humor, while Rita Ora guessed Paris Hilton was under the mask.
Ken Jeong was the only judge who thought Yorkie was an “RHOBH” star, except he named Kyle Richards instead of Jayne.
As Yorkie sashayed off the stage, Jeong said, “This might be my favorite outfit because I feel the outfit matches the contestant.”
