Denise Richards Reveals Ex-Husband Charlie Sheen’s Surprising Reaction to Her New Family Reality Show

Denise Richards was pleasantly surprised by her ex-husband Charlie Sheen’s reaction to her upcoming reality show, “Denise Richards and Her Wild Things.”

In a February 2025 interview with People magazine, the former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star said her ex loved the trailer for her new Bravo reality show, which will feature their daughters Sami, 20, Lola, 19, as well as Richards’ 13-year-old daughter Eloise, whom she shares with her current husband Aaron Phypers.

“He’s been supportive from day one,” Richards said of Sheen, whom she divorced in 2006 after four years of marriage. “He saw the trailer and sent me such a wonderful sweet positive text. I was actually really surprised. It meant a lot to me.”

Richards’ marriage to Sheen—and its aftermath—was tumultuous. But they made amends for the sake of their two daughters.

“Charlie is always invited to holiday dinners,” Richards told People. “There’s always an open door and that goes for [his ex-wife] Brooke [Mueller] and [their twin] boys as well. I want everyone to get along and everyone to be peaceful.”

Things are so peaceful that Sheen agreed to make a cameo on “Denise Richards and Her Wild Things.”

Richards confirmed her ex’s cameo while speaking on Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast in February 2025. “No one’s ever seen Charlie and I after our divorce sitting in a room talking,” she said. “And I think that’s one of the things I loved that we were able to capture was us having that moment of sharing that.”

“We still joke around with each other, and we can have a sense of humor about all of the [expletive] we went through. It was so bad that we have to laugh at it!” she added.

In July 2024, Page Six posted photos of Sheen’s ex-wives Richards and Mueller filming together while having a picnic by the Pacific Ocean.

Charlie Sheen Didn’t Appear on RHOBH When Richards Was a Cast Member

Richards was a main cast member on two seasons of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” in 2019 and 2020, but Sheen did not make any guest appearances.

The “Anger Management” star still supported his ex-wife when she joined the “Real Housewives” franchise. “I don’t really watch that show,” he told Entertainment Tonight in 2019. “But I know it’s really popular and good for her. I’m sure it’s going to be a ball, you know?”

“You’re gonna see the girls,” Sheen told Extra in a separate interview. “I don’t appear on shows I don’t watch,” he added.
