Craig Conover Reveals He Is Dating Someone New 4 Months After Paige DeSorbo Split

Craig Conover is in a new relationship four months after his split from Paige DeSorbo.

During a March 27 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the 36-year-old “Southern Charm” star said he has “done a lot of work to just move forward” following his messy split from his girlfriend of three years. Conover also confirmed to host Andy Cohen that he is now dating.

“I am,” Conover said. “And I’m really happy.”

Cohen then asked if he was dating “specifically one person.”

“Yes, I  have been,” Conover said, adding, “You know, when I date, I tend to date only one person at a time. So, I’ve been seeing someone, and it’s been, I’ve been reminded that the universe works in crazy ways, but everything happens for a reason.”

Conover also clarified that the woman he is dating is not his “Southern Charm” co-star Salley Carson amid rumors they went on a date.

Craig Conover Said He Has Been Trying to Move Forward

During his WWHL sit-down, Conover confirmed that DeSorbo broke up with him just after Thanksgiving but that he didn’t believe it was “real” at first. Cohen noted that watching back “Southern Charm” and DeSorbo’s show “Summer House,” which filmed last summer, it appeared that DeSorbo was “headed in that direction” to end the relationship.

“What you didn’t see is, you know, on ‘Southern Charm’ what I saw before the reunion, you know, her in my pool saying she wanted to get married and have kids,” Conover claimed. “Like, trust me, it has been a very frustrating couple of months for me because of decisions that were made outside of my control.”

“Paige did her first breakup podcast, she said I was the best boyfriend she ever had, and I truly believe we had a wonderful relationship,” he added. “I think I was one of the most supportive people in her life. …I have my memories, and we had a great relationship, and now I’m moving on with my life.”

Conover also claimed that things took an ugly turn in part due to the response from DeSorbo’s friends from the “Summer House” cast. “I mean, I obviously was surprised when she left me, and I’m focusing on moving forward,” Conover reiterated to Cohen.

The Sewing Down South founder claimed that DeSorbo’s camp “made up some stories” after the breakup didn’t go the way that she had hoped it would. “I haven’t done anything but try to move on with my life, and I’m really happy in the chapter that I’m in,” Conover said.

Craig Conover Previously Said He Wanted to Find Someone to ‘Travel’ With

One of Conover and DeSorbo’s biggest issues when they were a couple was their conflicting work and travel schedules as well as their long-distance situation, with him based in Charleston, South Carolina, and her in New York City.

During an interview with Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap” following his split from DeSorbo, Conover said he hoped to find a woman who would be able to travel with him. “I just want someone to travel with,” the Sewing Down South founder said. “Because I’m on the road so much now, and I’m fortunate that I can be very spontaneous with my time. And I think it would be fun to find someone to share that life with again,” he said.

During an appearance on the “Tamron Hall Show” in February, he also shot down speculation that he’ll be engaged or married within a year. “I think you should be together for a year-and-a-half to two years before you get engaged,” Conover said. “That’s just me. But I want to meet someone and travel the world, and I want to build a relationship with them before we bring kids into it.”
