Popular Bravo Series Canceled: Report

“The Real Housewives of New York City” is going on pause yet again, Page Six reported on May 9. A source told the publication, “We’re trying to figure that show out. We want to figure it out. We think there’s still life in it.”

The insider suggested that the franchise may go the way of “The Real Housewives of Miami,” which was shelved for eight years until its return in 2021.

However, the source told Page Six that Bravo executives plan on bringing “RHONY” back but fans won’t be seeing all of the season 16 cast.

In 2023, “RHONY” got a shakeup with an entirely new set of faces, which included Sai De Silva, Ubah Hassan, Jenna Lyons, Erin Lichy, Jessel Taank, and Brynn Whitfield. The following season, Racquel Chevremont and Rebecca Minkoff were added.

Chevremont Wants to See New Faces on ‘RHONY’

Chevremont teased of a “RHONY” shakeup in March when she told E! News that despite not knowing when filming would start again, fans won’t be seeing the same cast from season 15.

“We already lost Rebecca [Minkoff], so we definitely have one more [spot],” she said.

On February 4, Minkoff announced her departure from “RHONY” after one season. “2025 is a new beginning for me and with current events in the world, I am reminded the importance of family, friends and community now more than ever,” she shared on Instagram.

The fashion designer explained that she wanted to focus on her kids, husband, and multiple businesses.

“I want to reprioritize the things that mean the most to me: designing, giving back, supporting women and raising my family. I am truly grateful for the experience, the friendships and the fans that have been part of this RHONY chapter. Time to turn the page,” Minkoff wrote.

Bravo Producers Are Reportedly Scouting for New ‘RHONY’ Talent

NBCUniversal

A source told Us Weekly on March 7 that Bravo producers are on hunt for possible new “RHONY” cast members while they decide on the final set for season 16.

“It depends on who they find. It’s unclear on how many cast members they are looking for — and who may stay or who may go. Producers are always putting feelers out to see if they can find anyone new,” the unnamed person shared.

Back in January, Shed Media posted a casting call for “RHONY” on Instagram. “It’s that time … come and get your apple,” the production company wrote.

Update: It appears Bravo is still planning on moving forward with “RHONY” season 16. After Page Six’s report on May 9, the network told Us Weekly, “Nothing is official. The show hasn’t been canceled.”
