Andy Cohen Will Be Around for a While Thanks to New Bravo Deal

Fans of the “Real Housewives” series will be excited to know that their longtime mediator, Andy Cohen, doesn’t plan on going anywhere any time soon.

The host, personality and all around fun guy just reupped his contract with NBCUinversal and Bravo.

How Long Will Andy Remain at Bravo?

Cohen’s new overall deal is for another three years. That means he’s set to work under the NBCU banner for that period of time. Meanwhile, his Bravo talk show “Watch What Happens Live” is renewed for two more years.

Note that the overall deal and show renewal are two separate parts. One one hand, the overall deal (also known as a first look deal) gets Cohen paid by NBCU to work for them exclusively. Any idea he has for a show or project must be pitched to them first. If they pass, he can shop it elsewhere.

Conversely, his show renewal deal is just for the show.

Cohen has been hosting “Watch What Happens Live” since 2009. He also hosts the reunions and specials of the “Real Housewives” shows.

In a statement, Cohen said “After more than 20 years with Bravo, I’m full of intense gratitude that I get to continue living out my dream here. I’m excited to keep growing our successes across NBCUniversal’s incredible portfolio and, most of all, thankful that I, along with my team, get to keep doing what we love most.”

20 Years and Counting

In an Instagram post, Cohen expressed his gratitude about the renewals.

“Bravo announced today pickup of ‘WWHL’ through 2027, and a continuation of my role as Reunion Host, and as Executive Producer of the ‘Real Housewives.’” he wrote.

“To say I’m thrilled to continue doing what I love – more than 20 years after starting at the network – is an understatement! Thank you for hanging with me!” he concluded.

Cohen continues to serve as executive producer of the “Real Housewives” franchise.
