“Summer House” star Amanda Batula opened up about her fractured relationship with former castmate Hannah Berner on the March 19 episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”
Batula revealed that the last time she texted Berner was after she broke her arm while skiing and offered sympathy.
When asked by Andy Cohen if she has ever gone to a “Giggy Squad” podcast live event, Batula said that she stays away out of respect for Berner, since she’s half of the show along with her close friend Paige De Sorbo.
Batula admitted, “I don’t know if we’ll ever get to that point.” However, she added, “I’m open to it, but also she’s living her life, she’s doing her thing. This [feud] is a thing of her past. I respect whatever decision she makes.”
Batula & Berner were once close

While Batula was a part of “Summer House” since season 1, Berner joined the cast in the third season, along with De Sorbo. The three immediately clicked and became close friends, often gossiping and relaxing in bed together.
During season 5, Berner and Batula’s now-husband, Kyle Cooke, often clashed, with one of his complaints being that she didn’t help out around the house.
Berner pushed back and criticized Cooke for having a big ego and their feud ultimately got in between her friendship with Batula.
In May 2021, Batula told Us Weekly that she wasn’t sure if Berner was going to her wedding. “At this point, I’m more sad about, like, where our relationship has gone [versus] her being there or not.”
She continued, “I give people a lot of chances. It’s just in my nature to see the best in people and see the light and be like, ‘OK, well, maybe they didn’t mean it that way. Maybe they were having a bad day.'”
“Everyone has always had something else going on. So for things to just kind of, like, unravel like this, [I wasn’t] expecting it,” Batula said.
Cooke Says He Wants Wants to Make Amends With Berner

After leaving “Summer House” season 5, Berner claimed that Cooke had her fired from the show for partnering with the beverage company Truly, which was a competitor to Cooke’s Loverboy brand.
“I have nothing to do with casting,” Cooke told Page Six in July 2024. He added, “I hate having lingering issues with anyone in my life, and I always hoped for an opportunity to reconcile things with Hannah … I don’t want any bad blood and wish her nothing but success.”
Cooke echoed the same sentiment the following October when he told the Daily Mail that he’s “proud” of Berner’s success with the “Giggly Squad” podcast she co-hosts with De Sorbo.
“They’ve built a community, they’ve built a platform, they’re hilarious, they’re entertaining, they have obviously taken it from the podcast to the live stage, they’re on tour,” he said.
As for their rift, Cooke revealed, “Whatever happened in the past, I’d like to think that one day, Hannah and I can break bread, and put it behind us.”
