‘Summer House’ Star Gives Update on Plans for Baby

Amanda Batula is not ready to have a baby, she recently shared.

In February 2025, the ”Summer House” star, who married Kyle Cooke in September 2021, gave fans an update as rumors continued to swirl about her marriage.

Batula, 33, told E! News she simply doesn’t feel ready to have children with her husband of three years. “I feel like I’m a child and for me to have a baby would be illegal,” she joked to the outlet. “Like I’d be a teen mom. It just doesn’t seem right yet. I have to feel like I’m my age and I’m not there. If I got pregnant right now, I’d be afraid to tell my parents.”

In a previous interview with Us Weekly, Batula shared that while was not ready to become a mother, she was thrilled that her castmate Lindsay Hubbard recently had her first baby. “When I want to get my cuddles and snuggles and kisses in, I can just visit her child and not be stuck with it. You know what I mean? Like, I can give it back,” Batula said of Hubbar’s baby girl.

Kyle Cooke Said There’s Never Going to Be a ‘Right Time’ to Start a Family

Cooke and Batula have been open about wanting to focus on their careers before starting their family.

According to BravoTV.com, amid a pregnancy scare before filming season 7 of “Summer House,” Batula admitted that taking a pregnancy test “really made” the couple start to think about what was next for them. “And we’re not ready,” she said of starting a family.

In November 2023, Batula  told People magazine, “We weren’t ever ready for kids and we’re still not.” She noted that they would “eventually be ready for kids.”

Cooke told Page Six that he and Batula want kids and that they addressed the topic once again during season 9. He also admitted that “there’s never going to be a right time” to start a family. “I would say it’s pretty imminent. But I’m trying to sort a few things out,” the Loverboy founder said in October.

Amanda Batula Said Her Marriage Is Fine

During the 8th season of “Summer House,” Batula and Cooke experienced some issues in their marriage. The couple argued over Batula feeling unfulfilled working for their beverage company, Loverboy, and Cooke’s reluctance to buy a house in New Jersey.

But the season 9 premiere showed Cooke trying hard to be thoughtful of his wife. In the interview with Us in November 2024, Batula shared that the two have gone to therapy to work on themselves. “It’s very eye-opening getting to watch yourself back [on TV] and see how you handle different situations. So, we’ve learned a lot and have grown from it,” she said.

Speaking with E!, Batula reiterated that her marriage is doing “great.” “Our entire relationship there have been some sort of rumors going on, from me being pregnant to us getting divorced,” she said. “It seems to be something new every time, but none of them are true. I’m not pregnant, we’re not getting divorced.”
