‘Destination X’ TV Show Cast & Spoilers So Far

Who doesn’t love a good reality TV competition? NBC’s new show “Destination X” premieres on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Episodes can be streamed on Peacock the next day.

Hosted by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the series will be filmed in Europe and feature 12 contestants competing in challenges to identify their locations correctly. The winner is determined by figuring out their mystery location, and they win $250,000. But who are these 12 contestants, and is it as easy and dreamy to compete as it sounds? Spoiler: It’s not!

‘Destination X’ Season 1 Contestants

The names of the 12 contestants competing in “Destination X” were revealed on the NBC website. Audiences will recognise some familiar faces and reality TV alums, including “The Challenge” and “Big Brother” alum Josh Martinez, “The Traitors” and “The Bachelor” alum Peter “Pilot Pete” Weber, and “Love Island USA” alum JaNa Craig.

The other contestants are single mom and grandmother Kim Conner, sports bettor and content creator Biggy Bailey, model Shayne Cureton, flight attendant Tai Lowry, and international bird watcher Rick Szabo. Jonah Evarts was raised in a military family, Rachel Rossette has a degree in history, Ally Bross is a full-time travel influencer, and Mack Fitzgerald is an attorney.

Some of the contestants have posted about their experience on Instagram and shared a first look at what is to come. On April 24, Martinez posted about the show on Instagram, writing, “This was one of the craziest adventures of my Life! Can’t wait for all of you to watch.“

On April 26, Bross shared several photos of herself on Instagram, and in the caption, she mentioned she was “celebrating the announcement” of the show. And on May 1, Fitzgerald teased her appearance on the show with a short video clip posted on Instagram. “Tune in to #nbcdestinationx to see many more outfits of mine that do not match and also hopefully more clips of me running so fast,” the caption reads.

What Has Been Said About ‘Destination X?’

How do contestants play and win “Destination X?”

“Once they’re on the blacked-out Destination X bus, the journey transforms into a real-life game board, with challenges designed to offer clever clues as to their location, along with a few misdirects to keep them guessing,” a synopsis for the show reads, per NBC. “At the end of each episode, the contestant who places an X on a map farthest from the actual location packs their bags. The first participant to reach Destination X will be crowned the winner.

Josh Martinez has also shared his thoughts on the experience and how it made him go “absolutely crazy.”

“Once I saw the bus pull up and Jeffrey said that’s where we were going to be living, I was instantly excited,” he told Entertainment Weekly on May 20. “And then once we hit the road for about six to eight hours, it had set in that this was going to be my reality for the next few weeks or months, and I went absolutely crazy… The living conditions on the bus was extremely hard for me.”
