‘Big Brother’ Alums Reportedly Make Major Crossover for ‘The Amazing Race’ Season 38

Alongside “Survivor,” “Big Brother” and “The Amazing Race” have been some of CBS’s most lucrative reality competition shows since they debuted to audiences in the early 2000s. “The Amazing Race” in particular is currently preparing to air its 38th season this fall.

From the start, the premise of “The Amazing Race” has been the same; pairs of competitors, including siblings, co-workers and spouses, team up to take on a race around the world where they encounter twists, turns, and roadblocks that halt their progress. At the end of each episode, the team to cross the finish line last is eliminated, while the duo that manage to win the season-long race are awarded the $1 million grand prize.

Most recently, best friends and gamers Carson McCalley and Jack Dodge were declared the winners of “The Amazing Race” Season 37. Now, looking to Season 38’s debut this fall, rumors suggest that the upcoming cast will be entirely composed of former “Big Brother” stars and their loved ones.

‘The Amazing Race 38’ Cast Reportedly Composed of Former ‘Big Brother’ Stars

Rumors that the cast of “The Amazing Race” Season 38 would feature all former “Big Brother” houseguests began in March, when Phil Keoghan, who has hosted “The Amazing Race” since its 2001 premiere, delivered a message to fans from the starting line of the forthcoming race around the world.

Speaking on the season’s mystery contenders, Keoghan reported: “They are out of the house and ready for this season of ‘The Amazing Race’.” The message was similarly accompanied by a key emoji on screen. While CBS has yet to confirm the Season 38 cast, fans similarly identified the location of Keoghan’s video as Roode Steen in Hoorn, the Netherlands – the birthplace of the “Big Brother” franchise, which aired its first ever season in 1999.

Since the season began filming, fans have similarly confirmed sightings of former “Big Brother” contestants in airports and other international landmarks as they, allegedly, compete on the forthcoming season.

If the rumors are true, it wouldn’t be the first time that “Big Brother” alums have made the crossover onto the “Amazing Race” cast. Previously, former houseguests have performed well on the competition series. Derek Xiao and Claire Rehfuss, who originally competed against one on Season 23 of “Big Brother,” later returned to win “The Amazing Race” Season 30. Similarly, “Big Brother” Season 19 alums, Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf, also found success on their race around the world, winning the $1 million prize on Season 34.

Meet the ‘Big Brother’ Stars Rumored to be on ‘The Amazing Race 38’

Rumors of the major crossover between “Big Brother” and “The Amazing Race” were further confirmed when Monsters and Critics published an alleged cast list for Season 38, featuring the names of 13 former “Big Brother” castmates. Each reality star will be joined on the season by their close connections, including their parents, children, partners and siblings.

The rumored cast includes legacy players like Enzo Palumbo, who appeared on “Big Brother” Season 12 before returning to compete on “All Stars,” who will be joined on the race by his brother, Giacomo. Meanwhile, Season 18 star, Natalie Negrotti, is reported to be competing alongside her sister, Stephanie.

“Big Brother” alums Kat Dunn (Season 21), Joseph Abdin (Season 24) and Matt Turner (Season 24) are also set to participate in the “Amazing Race” this season, alongside their boyfriend, brother, and wife, respectively.

Fan-favorite players Tucker Des Lauriers (Season 26), joined by his brother, Eric, and Hannah Chaddha (Season 23), accompanied by her sister, Simone, will also reportedly appear. From Season 25, Izzy Gleicher will take on “The Amazing Race” with her fiance, Paige, while Season 26’s Rubina Bernabe will race alongside her sister, Kristine. Also from Season 26, Angela Murray is also featured on the rumored cast, as well as her daughter, Lexi.

The biggest surprise, however, is the inclusion of three former “Big Brother” winners on the “Amazing Race” Season 38 cast. Taylor Hale, who emerged victorious from Season 24, will be joined by fellow “Big Brother” alum Kyland Young after the duo reportedly began dating earlier this year. Season 25 winner Jag Bains will also appear, joined by his brother Jas, while Chelsie Baham, the winner of “Big Brother” Season 26, will round out the cast alongside her father, Jack.

Keep in mind that this list has not been officially confirmed by CBS and stay tuned for further information regarding the cast, premiere, and schedule for “The Amazing Race” Season 38!
