He's since written about Trek for Starlog, the official Star Trek Magazine, the New York Times Syndicate and other outlets, and he served as editor in chief of the official site, StarTrek.com, from 2010 to 2019. Ian even appeared as an extra on both Deep Space Nine and Voyager.
