Scotty McCreery Falls on Stage During Concert, Jokes About His Tumble

“American Idol” season 10 winner Scotty McCreery took a tumble during a March concert, but thankfully, he wasn’t injured. The singer managed to have a little fun in the moment, joking, “Who put that there?”

On March 25, McCreery took to Instagram to share a video that included the moment he stumbled backward and fell during a performance as the opening act of Kane Brown’s The High Road Tour. “Who put that there?” he wrote in the caption.

The video included a score: “The stage: 1, Me: 0,” with a laughing crying emoji.

The clip shows McCreery ending a song and miming pulling a trigger on a shotgun pointed upwards. As he does that, he trips backward and falls but quickly bounces back up, raising his fist up to indicate he’s okay. He asks the crowd, “Who put that there?”

Afterward, he’s seen saying, “I haven’t done that in a minute,” noting he landed “right on my wrist.” Ouch!

His bandmembers and crew also weighed in on the spill. “Well, if you weren’t hurting before, you are now!” one said. Others shared that their favorite part of the night was McCreery falling down.

Another crew member noted that he “was a little concerned” by the stumble, sharing that he was “the last person that had to go to the hospital from falling down.” He added, “Glad he didn’t hurt himself, but it was a little enjoyable.”

McCreery’s fans flooded the comments section of the post, with many sending well wishes and voicing their concern over the fall.

“Glad you’re ok 😂 You handled it well,” one person said of the way McCreery took the misstep in stride.

Another fan wrote, “Glad you’re ok. You usually feel it the next day, yet getting up and moving right away is better as long as there’s nothing broken. 🙏😇❤️”
