It’s finally official! Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry have officially ended their relationship, but they’re maintaining a level of kindness and shared values. For the first time since it was reported that the couple had split, their representatives released a joint statement to US Weekly on Thursday, July 3.
The statement confirms that Actor Bloom, 48, and Former American Idol judge and singer Perry, 40, have ended their romantic relationship and are now focusing on co-parenting their daughter, Daisy.

“Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on coparenting,” their reps shared with Us Weekly. “They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect.”
Katy-Orlando’s Split Was Mutual and Happened Months Ago
Though news of the separation is just now public, sources close to the pair say the breakup occurred earlier this year.

“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” a source told Us Weekly in June. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”
Insiders also noted that the breakup had been “a long time coming” as tensions had been building “for months.”
Katy-Orlando’s Engagement and Co-Parenting Journey
Bloom and Perry first got engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2019 after years of dating on and off. The pair welcomed their daughter, Daisy Dove, in August 2020.

Bloom also shares a son, Flynn, 14, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr. Despite the split, the couple remains committed to raising Daisy in a supportive environment.
“They aren’t making drastic changes for Daisy’s sake,” a source told US Weekly. “They will keep their lives in Montecito. They are prioritizing stability and consistency for Daisy.”
Katy Perry Focuses on Music and Motherhood
Amid the split, Perry wrapped up her sold-out tour in Australia, where she was seen spending time with her daughter.
At her final show in Adelaide, the pop star became emotional as she thanked fans:
“Thank you for always being there for me, Australia,” she told the crowd at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre, making a heart with her hands. “It means the world.”
Perry is now back from Australia and is set to return to the stage in Denver on July 10.
Orlando Bloom Reflects on Change and Loneliness
While Perry was on tour, Bloom made a solo appearance at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy. The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor has also shared introspective thoughts on social media in the days following the split.
On June 30, he posted a Buddhist quote: “The important thing is to take that first step. Bravely overcoming one small fear gives you the courage to take on the next.”
He later shared another quote — this time from psychiatrist Carl Jung — about loneliness and self-connection:
“Loneliness does not come from having no people about one, but from being unable to communicate the things that seem important to oneself.”
Although they’ve parted ways romantically, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are entering this next chapter with compassion and a clear focus: raising their daughter, Daisy, with love, stability, and mutual respect.
