Nutsa, ‘American Idol’ & ‘Eurovision’ Finalist, Gets ENGAGED to Her Talent Agent

Two years after making it to the top 12 on season 21 of “American Idol,” powerhouse singer Nutsa Buzaladze — who goes by the stage name Nutsa — says her dreams are finally coming true.

The powerhouse singer, who hails from the country of Georgia and lived for years in Dubai before seeking out stardom in Hollywood, not only has a blossoming international music career, but is now engaged to her Los Angeles-based “mega sports and celebrity agent” Darren Prince, who signed her right after she competed on “American Idol” in 2023.

“Darren first came into my life as the one who believed in me when I was chasing my biggest dreams in America,” Nutsa wrote while announcing their engagement in a social media post on June 8, 2025, which featured a series of photos from their engagement night at Balboa Bay Resort in Newport Beach, California.

Nutsa Met ‘Super Agent’ Darren Prince After ‘American Idol’

After seeing her on “American Idol,” Prince — who represents a bevy of celebrities — was interested in representing Nutsa and they worked professionally for over a year on building her career. Within months, she was recording new music, hobnobbing with celebrities from Magic Johnson to Nina Dobrev, and on a billboard in Times Square.

“He wasn’t just any agent,” she wrote in her post about their engagement. “He was my super agent. He made things happen, opened doors I never thought possible, and stood by me like no one else!🥹 But what I didn’t see coming was that he would become the love of my life.”

Prince shared his own post about their engagement, written as a note to Nutsa, in which he said, “We immediately connected over our love of God, spiritual way of life and became the best of friends over time. Earlier this year when you decided to move to Los Angeles for your career neither of us ever expected what we have now. We both became in sync with our personal development routines and you even added some of mine. That’s when healing, accountability and manifestation started taking place between us and the frequency of love and abundance slowly came into play in a major way.”

After finding success in Georgia, including winning her country’s version of “The X Factor” in 2015, as well as the Turkish version of “The Voice” and Georgia’s take on “Dancing with the Stars,” according to the Georgian Journal.

But Nutsa longed for a larger career and set her sights on Hollywood. After judges Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Perry granted her a spot on season 21 of “American Idol” and continued to move her through the competition, she was overjoyed.

She told EntertainmentNow at the time she wanted fans to know, “I promise, as a performer I will always give my all, whether in the contest or not. I will work on myself even more to be the kind of singer you want to listen to. Finally, I want to thank everyone, because both negative and positive feedback gives me a chance to improve and be better.”

In 2024, Nutsa represented her native country of Georgia in Eurovision, a huge annual talent competition, and made it to the Grand Final. In May, she returned as spokesperson during the 2025 competition, per Eurovoix.
