Two years after she captured viewers’ hearts on “American Idol,” season 21 runner-up Megan Danielle is celebrating her latest feat: marrying her longtime love, Levi Walker. The gospel singer celebrated her nuptials by sharing videos of herself getting ready for her big day on social media, captioning the post, “I MARRIED MY LOVE YESTERDAY 💍🤍🤍”
Danielle and Walker married in Georgia on March 15, 2025, after an eight-month engagement. With their marriage, the gospel singer officially becomes a bonus mom to Walker’s two young sons.
Megan Danielle Adorably Danced to Beyoncé Tune As She Got Ready for Her Big Day
The morning after Danielle’s wedding, she posted a video montage of herself getting ready for her big day, with her gleefully mouthing the words to the Beyoncé tune “Freakum Dress.”
The final clip showed that Danielle, 23, was glowing in Morilee’s Stefani wedding gown, described on the designer’s site as featuring “delicately beaded, frosted embroidery on net over sequined chantilly lace” with a “scalloped hemline and sheer petal train.”
She wore her hair down with loose curls, and carried an elegant bouquet of white and cream flowers.
Iam Tongi, who won season 21, liked Danielle’s post within minutes of her sharing it, and she was flooded with congratulatory messages from fans.
One gushed, “Love love this! You look stunning girl, congratulations!! 👏💐💍”
Jordan David Ward of the contemporary Christian group Consumed By Fire, with whom Danielle recently released the single “What If,” chimed in by writing, “Whooooo!!! Congrats to yall! Looked beautiful sis! 👏🏼🎉🙌🏼”
Walker proposed to Danielle on July 28, 2024, after about two years of dating. Though they didn’t meet until adulthood, they grew up about a half hour apart in Georgia, she revealed during a since-deleted 2023 Instagram Live with former “Idol” winner Maddie Poppe. Walker has two sons from a previous relationship, Ashton and Aiden, and Danielle has become extremely close with them.
Megan Danielle Signed With Contemporary Christian Record Label in 2024
Since placing second on “American Idol,” Danielle has periodically toured and recorded with multiple Contemporary Christian acts. In November 2024, she signed with Provident Entertainment, per CCM Magazine, and released her first single on the label, “When I Found You.”
Provident is a “faith-based” division of Sony Music Entertainment whose artist roster includes Casting Crowns, Brandon Lake, DOE, and Kirk Franklin.
Upon signing Danielle, Provident Entertainment president Holly Zabka said in a statement, “The moment I heard her on ‘American Idol,’ I fell in love with her sweet spirit and the way her voice draws you into the emotion of a song.”
In early March, Danielle released her second single with the label, called “Honey Sweet.” She’ll soon hit the road with Sidewalk Prophets for “The Looking Up Tour.”
