Singer Craig Campbell’s Performance Was Cut From Pruitt’s Audition

According to Campbell, Luke Bryan asked him to sing when he was at Pruitt’s “American Idol” audition, but that it was cut. Campbell told Taste of Country Nights, “One thing that didn’t get aired, that I thought was super-cool when she got her ticket, Luke [Bryan] was like, he looked at Lionel [Richie], he was like, ‘Lionel, Craig is one of the best singers that has ever graced the microphone,’ he was like, ‘Hit ’em with something, Craig!’”
