Country Icon Luke Bryan Handles Hit to the Face On Stage Like a Pro: VIDEO

Country superstar Luke Bryan is proving his metal as a world class performer, after continuing to sing even when a ball thrown from his audience hit him right in the face!

The “American Idol” judge was at a tour stop in North Dakota on July 26, 2025, when the flying object hit him just below his right eye. The moment was caught on a video posted on KFYR-TV’s Facebook page that has since gone viral.

Luke Bryan Ducked, But Not in Time to Miss Getting Hit

Country Chord reposted the video on Instagram originally captioning it “Luke Bryan gets drilled in the face with a beer” but correcting the information in the post, writing, “Luke Bryan takes a *ball* to the face last night in North Dakota.”

Bryan was near the end of his set at the North Dakota State Fair, performing his hit “Country Girl” when the ball came flying at his head. Luke ducked, but not until after the object made contact with his right cheek.

But Luke immediately regained his composure, continuing on with the song and even smiling and nodding to the crowd.

Fans Rush to Luke Bryan’s Defense

Luke Bryan did not address the incident from the stage, but Luke’s fans were quick to jump to his defense on KFYR-TV’s Facebook post.

One commented, “Throwing something at the person singing. Wow, how low can one go?”

Another wrote, “If they found out who it was, they should be banned for life from the state fair/property.”

Another praised Luke, writing, “Glad that Luke Bryan kept singing, what a great guy 🥰 Hopefully they find the person that threw that ball.”

And another wrote, “I was there, and it was definitely not cool, and he was definitely not happy.”

Luke Bryan Just Returned to Touring After Illness

Luke Bryan has only recently returned to touring after having to cancel several shows due to illness.

In a fan video on TikTok from a July 17 concert in South Carolina, Luke told the audience, “Three weeks ago, I got COVID and I had to cancel some shows, but now I’m back!”

Bryan’s “A Country Song Came On” Tour run through early September. But even after his last show on the tour September 6 in Biloxi, Mississippi, the singer won’t be done.

Just a few weeks later, Bryan will circle back to his “Farm Tour.

That tour brings concerts to America’s farmers, setting up stages right in the middle of the farmland in small towns throughout the country. This year, Bryan expanded that tour, bringing three shows to California farmers for the first time in May.

The “Strip It Down” singer is also returning to Mexico for his 11th annual “Crash My Playa Music Festival” in January.

In an Instagram post, Bryan wrote, “I know y’all have been waiting… @crashmyplaya coming January 2026. Stay tuned!” A “Save the Date” graphic lists the fest running January 15 through 18, 2026. It promises two nights of performances by Bryan.
