New mom and country star Lauren Alaina is offering fans a sneak peek of her newborn daughter’s nursery. And it’s so detailed, the former “American Idol” runner-up posted it in two parts!
The two videos on Lauren Alaina’s Instagram account walk fans through the precious nursery filled with nostalgia and special touches.
In the caption to the first video, Lauren writes, “Nursery tour (part 1)!!! This room was so much fun to put together and it’s literally my favorite room in the house. There’s so much sentimental value inside her nursery and I can’t wait for you to see the rest. What’s your favorite part so far?! 🎀”
She starts outside the bedroom door, then walks in revealing a huge room with a large bay window and warm chocolate walls. The first thing Lauren shows followers is a pink chest of drawers and dresser that have great sentimental value.
“My mom’s mom actually bought this furniture when she was pregnant with my mom,” Lauren explains. “And when she passed, she always said she wanted my mom to have it. So my mom would always remember exactly how old the furniture is. And Momma gave it to me. We sanded these down and painted them pink.” A smaller video inside the video actually shows them painting the dresser.
Lauren also points out adorable pulls in the shape of horse heads, saddles and cowboy boots.
Nursery Is Filled With Symbols of People Lauren Alaina Loves
Lauren Alaina goes on to give more details about the nursery for her daughter Beni Doll Arnold, who was born June 11 and is just turning one month old.
Lauren points out items on the wall including a large dream catcher that once belonged to her stepdad and artwork featuring a horse grazing in a field by her mother-in-law Wendy. “She is an unbelievable artist,” Lauren says.
There is also an ink drawing of a deer head that once belonged to Lauren’s late father who died before Beni was born.
She also points out two banjos hanging over the dresser that both belonged to her great-grandmother. “Lots of family up on the walls in here. It means a lot to me,” she says.
Part Two of Lauren Alaina’s Nursery Tour Features Gift From Special Fan
Part two of Lauren Alaina’s nursery tour on Instagram starts by showing a handmade quilt. Lauren explains the quilt comes from a fan named Darcy. “She’s this little girl who comes to a lot of my shows. She has, like, all of my wardrobe. She and her grandmother made this little blanket for my baby,” Lauren says, getting emotional.
A smaller video in the corner of the video shows Lauren and Darcy dancing together in identical white dresses.
When showing followers Beni Doll’s crib, Lauren reveals that she’s “obsessed” with it, saying, “Mom says it’s almost identical to the crib that I was in when I was a baby.”
Another special touch- a red wooden container of toys signed by legendary members of the Grand Ole Opry.
Nursery Videos Reveal Lauren Alaina’s Famous Sense of Humor
At one point in part two of the nursery tour, Lauren shows fans a leather couch and reveals that that’s where her husband sleeps and watches tv while she’s breastfeeding.
“This used to be our ‘man cave’ she explains. “We let him keep the couch.”
Lauren also revealed an entire wall full of hanging baby clothes, saying, “this girl has more clothes than I do!” The wall also features a hanger for hair accessories, which is essential since Lauren explains her plan. “We’re going to have a bow for every day of the year!” And eventhough Beni Doll is only a month old, she already owns an extensive boot collection. “She’s ready for her mom’s concerts!,” Lauren explained.
