Kelly Clarkson Forced to Postpone Vegas Shows Due to Ex-Husband’s Illness
On August 6, Clarkson took to Instagram to share the news that she was postponing the remainder of her August Las Vegas “Studio Sessions” concerts.
“Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas,” she shared in the post.
Clarkson continued, “While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them.”
She added, “I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”
Fans flooded the comments with an outpouring of support, including, “Sending love your way” and “praying 🤍 family first, always. Real fans will understand KC!”
Another fan wrote, “Take care of those kiddos, momma. 🙌 family first.”

Clarkson was married to Blackstock for seven years before they split in June 2020. They share two children: River Rose and Remington Alexander.
Kelly Clarkson Postponed Her First Vegas Shows in July
On July 4, Clarkson took to Instagram to share the sad news that she would need to cancel the first two shows of her Vegas residency.
“We have been working 24/7 to make Studio Sessions the most intimate and extraordinary experience with and for my incredible fans,” she explained at the time. “I am beyond grateful that you always show up for me and I am devastated to have to postpone tonight and tomorrow’s opening at Caesars.”
The singer continued, “The prep and rehearsals have taken a toll on my voice. I want the shows to be perfect for y’all and I need to protect myself from doing serious damage so I am taking this weekend and next week to rest up so that we can deliver what you all deserve.”
Clarkson added, “The show is truly incredible. The musicians and singers are outstanding, and I want us all to start out strong. I can’t wait to be back next weekend and show ya’ll what we’ve been working on.”
