Katy Perry just wrapped up the Australian leg of this year’s The Lifetimes tour, and her emotions were on full display during her final show. In a clip from the concert, the former “American Idol” judge started to cry before performing her hit song, “Firework.” “Thank you for always being there for me, Australia,” the singer said. “It means the world.” Although it has been a challenging summer for Perry personally, she was clearly moved by the audience’s warm response to her performance.
Many fans flocked to the comments section of the clip to share kind words for Perry, who has officially split from long-time partner Orlando Bloom. “It was an amazing experience seeing you Katy! Can’t wait to see you again!!” one fan wrote. Perry is now headed to the U.S. for the next portion of the tour.
Split Announcements Came Just Days Before Her Final Australia Show

Perry and Bloom’s split became public knowledge a few days before her June 30th Adelaide show. On June 26th, People reported that the couple mutually agreed to end their union. “They got to a point where they feel there is no going back to a healthy relationship,” a source explained. “And that it’s better to live separate lives.”
Naturally, managing a world tour and the end of a major relationship simultaneously has been difficult for Perry, but the source shared that she is getting through it. “It’s been a lot for her,” they said. “She’s still doing great though.” Fan support is likely extra-special for the singer during this time, which make explain her show of emotion at the Adelaide concert.
Perry Had Her Daughter by Her Side When Leaving Australia

Perry and Bloom share one daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, who was by Perry’s side as the singer prepared to leave Australia. In photos Daily Mail shared, Perry carries her daughter out of a car as they prepare to fly home to the U.S. from the Sydney airport. Daisy, 4, looks perfectly comfortable in her mom’s arms in the photos.
It’s likely lots of mother-daughter time will be scheduled around concerts this year, as Perry’s tour runs through the fall. Her last planned stop as of this publication will be at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 7th.
