Unfortunately, 2025 has been a difficult year for Katy Perry’s personal life. The former “American Idol” judge ended her decade-long engagement to Orlando Bloom in June, a difficult situation for anyone to face. Back in April, a video of Perry crying on stage began making the rounds on social media, which has gained newfound attention in light of this relationship news. Now, fans have taken the opportunity to show their support for the “Firework” singer.
“She was [being] so strong in that moment. A queen if you ask me,” a fan commented on a newly posted version of the video. “I feel so bad for her, like actually,” another wrote, encouraging others to show the singer some empathy. Although the original video was posted months before the split announcement, Perry’s fans are clearly standing by her through this challenging season of her life.
Fans Also Showed Perry Love During a Difficult Moment in 2011

This isn’t the first time Perry’s fans have rallied around the pop star. As the singer shared with Vogue in 2013, then-husband Russell Brand announced that he wanted to end their marriage via text message. That would be traumatic enough to deal with, but his timing was particularly terrible for Perry. As poor luck would have it, she was set to go on stage and perform at the time.
In a video clip from that show, fans yell “Katy, we love you!” after she finished singing “The One That Got Away.” The singer, who already looked emotional at the beginning of the clip, began to cry in response to the outpouring of support from the crowd. Fans in the video’s comments section also showed their love for Perry, with one writing, “Katy deserved all the love [in] the world.”
For Now, The Show Must Go On

Although the “Idol” alum is adjusting to a new normal, she’ll have to do so on the road. Perry’s “The Lifetimes Tour” kicked off in April, and the singer still has plenty of shows scheduled this year. She has largely spent June in Australia, but the rest of the summer will see her return to North America. The worldwide tour will take her to South America, Asia, and Europe before wrapping up in December.
When she wrapped up the first U.S. leg of her tour in May, the singer took to Instagram with a highlight reel of some of her most theatrical performances. Perry and her team launched the tour in support of her latest record, “143,” the seventh studio album of her career.
