Katy Perry Asks Fellow Pop Star to Go on Tour Together

Former “American Idol” judge Katy Perry just offered the proposal of a lifetime to fellow pop star Rebecca Black. In a March 9 tweet, Perry shared a video of her on one knee in front of Black during the “Friday” singer’s concert. “Will you … join me on ‘The Lifetimes Tour?'” the “Roar” singer asked. Looking shocked, Black screamed, “Yes!”

“About to spend a lot more Fridays with @MsRebeccaBlack. WELCOME TO THE LIFETIMES TOUR BABES,” Perry wrote.

After the announcement, Black posted, “secrets out … @katyperry i can’t wait to join you on THE LIFETIMES TOUR!!!!!! SEE YOU SOON.”

Black will kick off her tour with Perry on May 7 in Houston, Texas, and end with a concert in Miami, Florida on August 23.

Perry & Black Gave a Hint of What’s to Come During the Tour With a Duet

Perry’s proposal to Black wasn’t the only surprise fans witnessed on March 8 in Los Angeles. The two singers took the stage to perform Perry’s song, “Last Friday Night,” as shared by Perry on Instagram.

They both coordinated their outfits in animal prints, with Perry wearing a zebra patterned skirt and Black opting for a leopard print dress.

“Rebecca and I both love Fridays, so that’s why I asked her to be in this music video because Friday is my favorite day of the week and it’s her favorite day of the week,” Perry said in a throwback clip of her filming “Last Friday Night.”

Fans are already hyped up for double star power and Live Nation replied to Perry’s Instagram post, “THAT is how you do a proposal. We can’t wait to see you onstage at The Lifetimes Tour.”

Perry Teased an Epic ‘Sci-Fi’ Concert Experience During ‘The Lifetimes Tour’

Perry spoke to Billboard about what fans can expect for “The Lifetimes Tour.” In a video shared on Instagram, she revealed, “This one is more sci-fi than ever … but it’s almost like a sci-fi hopeful video game,” Perry teased. She added that there will be “intense choreography” and some aerial aerobatics.

Perry also gave a glimpse of the stage, which is in the shape of an infinity symbol and lit up with colorful lights.

“I’ve actually been asking for set list requests online, and fans like to troll me and I like to troll them. And they have been asking for the deepest cuts,” Perry said to Billboard.

She continued, “There’s a special part in the show that’s specific for deep cuts for fans. It’s a real ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ section and it’s not always going to be the same.”
