Leave it to Jennifer Lopez to make her birthday feel like a concert finale. On July 24, the former ‘American Idol’ judge and superstar rang in 56 with a surprise song release, a sparkling party dress, and a crowd hyped for more than just cake.
In the middle of her ‘Up All Night: Live in 2025’ tour, the singer-actress released her latest anthem, “Birthday,”.

“Name on top of the cake, it’s my birthday / I’ma make this famous ass shake, it’s my birthday,” she chants on the track, which played as she danced in front of a crowd holding champagne bottles.
Lopez celebrated the milestone in a glittering backless silver dress, surrounded by friends and dancers as a massive three-tier cake was rolled out.
Inside the On-Tour Birthday Bash
J.Lo’s birthday festivities took place just a day after her July 23 tour stop in Antalya, Turkey.
She’ll return to the stage on July 25 in Warsaw, Poland. However, in between, she’s spending the night in a suite carved out of solid stone.
Videos from the celebration showed Lopez beaming in her silver gown while dancing near the sparkler-topped cake, complete with large letters spelling “JLO.”
Hair down and drink in hand, she dropped it low for her cheering crew and whipped her hair to the beat of her brand-new track.
Lopez Opens Up About Her Toughest Year

The 2025 tour marks Lopez’s return to music after canceling ‘This Is Me… Live’ in May 2024. At the time, she told fans she needed to step away for personal reasons.
“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down,” she shared in her newsletter in May 2024, as per Variety. “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.”
Later that year, Lopez told Interview Magazine it was “probably the hardest time” of her life—but ultimately necessary. “I just needed to be with my kids and myself,” she said. “I’m glad I did.”
Sadly, her divorce from ‘Gone Girl’ actor Ben Affleck followed shortly after.
“I Think I’m Done With That”: J.Lo Talks Love Life
After the 2025 American Music Awards, Lopez told Access Hollywood she wasn’t ready to jump back into the dating world just yet.
Also, during a tour stop, Lopez poked fun at her relationship status after spotting a fan sign reading “J Lo, marry me.” “I think I’m done with that,” she joked. “I’ve tried that a few times.”
She also spoke candidly at the 2025 American Music Awards about not rushing into romance again. “I’m happy right now,” she said. “I’m not trying to ruin it, okay?”
