Exactly 10 years after she took third place on “American Idol,” pop star Jax has entered her mom era.
The 29-year-old “Victoria’s Secret” singer announced on May 24, 2025, that she welcomed her first child with her husband, music video director Braverijah “Brave” Gregg. The couple named their baby girl, born on May 20, Charlotte Good — inspired by the rock band Good Charlotte — and have been showered with love by fans and celebrities alike.
Jax Told Good Charlotte Frontman Joel Madden About Her Baby Naming Plans
Sharing a series of baby photos with her two million Instagram followers, Jax wrote, “Welcome to the world, Charlotte Good.”
In the comment section, Jelly Roll’s wife BunnieXO, wrote, “Omg the name 😭 Congrsts you guys!” and Jax replied, “iykyk 🤘🏼”
Jax first met the band in 2011, according to Alternative Press, when she was a teenager and got to open for them on a couple of their tour dates.
In September 2024, when Jax appeared on the “Artist Friendly” podcast hosted by Good Charlotte leader singer Joel Madden, who happens to be “American Idol” judge Lionel Richie’s son-in-law and performed on May 18 season finale, she was nervous to share that she and her husband had decided to name their first child after the band.
“We have always said, since we started dating and knew we were gonna end up together, we’d name our daughter after Good Charlotte and name her Charlotte Good,” she told Madden.
“Really?” he replied, and she beamed, “Charlotte Good Gregg, yeah.”
After she noted that their daughter would likely be called Charlie Good and that they’d already filmed video messages for her, Madden said, “That is so sweet!”
Celebrity Fans & Friends Celebrate Jax Becoming a Mom

Lots of Jax’s celebrity friends flooded her post with notes of congratulations, including former Nickelodeon star and Hallmark actress Daniela Monet, who wrote, “Peanut!!!! Congrats mama, you did it 🤍”
Fellow “American Idol” alum Lauren Alaina, who’s also expecting her first child, chimed in, “Congrats to you guys. She is beautiful. ❤️”
The band Shinedown commented, “YAY!!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️” and singer Christina Perri wrote, “ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!”
Jax also added some additional information about her delivery in the comment section, sharing, “The delivery nurses and doctors at @ascensionsaintthomas are real life angels on earth. They held our hands for HOURS through some very scary moments and made sure our baby made it out healthy and kicking. We will never forget how amazing they were.”
The new mom first rose to fame on season 14 of “American Idol,” where she landed in third place behind runner-up Clark Beckham and winner Nick Fradiani. Jax signed with Atlantic Records in 2021, per Billboard, and her song “Victoria’s Secret” became a smash hit the following year.
