Dolly Parton’s Instagram Follow Sparks Talk of Taylor Swift Collab

Icon Dolly Parton is now following pop star Taylor Swift on Instagram, which has some fans hoping it’s a sign that Parton and Swift could sing together.

“Dolly Parton recently started following Taylor Swift on Instagram. Could this be a sign of a potential collaboration?” wrote one Swift fan page on X. Parton, a former “American Idol” mentor, only follows 57 accounts on Instagram, many celebrities and singers.

“SMELL A DEBUT SONG COLLAB,” another fan wrote on X.

Parton is a fan of Swift. She told People in 2015, “I think that little Taylor Swift has just done amazing.”

“She knew exactly who she was, she had her dream, and she stuck with it. That’s what you gotta do. I’m just so proud of her,” Parton told People.

In that interview, Parton offered advice. “There are some golden rules in life,” she told People. “Be true to yourself. You need to know what you will and won’t put up with, and what you’re willing to sacrifice. A desire, a wish and a dream are different things, and you’ve gotta figure out those little differences. Everybody wishes that they were rich or famous, but that’s not necessarily going to happen if you don’t have the spunk to make it happen. You gotta work your dreams; you gotta put legs and arms and arms and wings on them!”

Other fans praised both Parton and Swift on social media.
