Carrie Underwood ‘Biting Off More Than She Can Chew’ With 2025 Projects: Report

Carrie Underwood has a full plate in 2025, but can the new “American Idol” judge manage it all? According to Life & Style, Underwood may be “biting off more than she can chew” with everything she’ll have going on.

Carrie Underwood May Be ‘Biting Off More Than She Can Chew,’ a Report Says

According to the report, people are worried Underwood is “taking on too much” this year.

“2025 is going to be absolutely packed for Carrie, to the point where people around her are questioning if she’s biting off more than she can chew,” a source told Life & Style.

They explained, “Being a judge on ‘Idol’ is going to be such a nerve wracking experience, that would be enough to handle on its own, but on top of that she has all kinds of gigs lined up plus her residency in Las Vegas, it’s hard to imagine how she’ll pull it all off.”

The insider added, “It’s going to be a huge juggling act. She feels confident she can handle it, but people do worry she’s taking on too much.”

The country singer is set to take on judging duties alongside Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie on “American Idol” on March 9. “It’s been 20 years since I was on ‘American Idol,’ and it still blows my mind to think that I just went and tried out for a TV show, and so much has happened,” Underwood shared during a November 2024 interview for the ABC News special “Vegas Lights & Country Nights: Countdown to the CMA Awards – A Special Edition of 20/20.

She added, “I consider myself just so blessed. To go back and be a judge … I very much look forward to being a part of somebody else’s story.”

What Will Carrie Underwood Do After Her Las Vegas Residency?

Underwood’s Las Vegas residency, “Reflection,” ends in April 2025.

“I feel like there was so much love and work and excitement that was poured into this show that, for me, I feel this will live in my mind, as, like one of the greatest shows we’ve ever put together, if not the greatest show we’ve put together,” she told “20/20.”

Season 23 of “American Idol” will likely end sometime in May, but what will Underwood do after that?

The country star shared that, during her days off from her residency, she enjoys baking and gardening.

“On the occasional days off that I get in Vegas, I just wanna do those things,” Underwood said. “There’s so much to do in Vegas, and so many people go out, and every once in a while, I’ll get to check out shows or go to nice restaurants or something.”

She added, “But some days, I just wanna stay in my pajamas and bake something.”
