Jessica Sanchez is back where it all began — “America’s Got Talent“. The 29-year-old singer, who first appeared on the show’s very first season in 2006 at just 10 years old, made her return to the stage during the 2025 season, and her comeback couldn’t have been more powerful.
“Being 10 years old on AGT played such a massive role in me believing in something bigger for myself, for my voice,” she reflected in a May Instagram post ahead of the show’s Season 20 premiere.
A Golden Buzzer Moment & a Viral Performance
During her new audition, Jessica delivered a powerful rendition of Benson Boone’s hit song “Beautiful Things”, earning a golden buzzer from judge Sofía Vergara. NBC released her audition video early, and the performance has already made waves online, proving that big things are once again on the horizon for the powerhouse vocalist.

The couple initially met serendipitously in 2017, thanks to a concert held at a rented church venue. “This show producer rented out a church as a venue. I wasn’t doing a church event, we just used the church as a venue for one of my concerts,” she recalled in a 2023 interview with FYE Channel.
“Rickie used to do lights at the church, so when I was singing on stage… I guess one of his friends told him, like, ‘Bro, you gotta come back to the church, do some lights, because this girl can sing.’”
She continued, “So he drove over and he sent me a video on Instagram of him and me in the background on stage, saying, ‘I’m gonna marry you one day,’ and all this stuff.”
A Journey From ‘American Idol’ to ‘Glee’ & Beyond

That same year, she appeared in two episodes of “Glee” as Frida Romero, further solidifying her place in pop culture.
