Who Got the Golden Buzzer on ‘AGT’ Tonight?

As fans tuned in for the third week of “America’s Got Talent” (AGT) season 20, they were treated to lots of entertaining contestants, including — as happens in each episode — some who rose to the top in the their eyes.

Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofía Vergara, and Melanie “Mel B” Brown get to award the Golden Buzzer to contestants who impress them the most, and one amazing talent brought Mel B to her feet during the first hour of the show on June 10, 2025.

SPOILER ALERT: If you do not want to know who got the Golden Buzzer tonight, do not continue reading.

Singer Charity Lockhart Earns Golden Buzzer From Mel B

Singer Charity Lockhart told the judges that she is 49, and that she loves to sing and loves her two children. She made Cowell laughed when she joked, “They’re little, one is 27, and the other one I can hold, he’s 21!”

Lockhart shared that when they actually were little and she got divorced, “we ended up living in a car.”

“All I had was my voice, and so I went to clubs and I went to bars, and I asked live bands if I could sing with them,” she said. “They would give me a little money at the end of the night.”

The crowd cheered for her, and then Lockhart shared that she entered a local talent show and won enough to pay for her first apartment, and then kept going from there. Her goal, she said smiling, was to “keep singing and, of course, probably collect a Grammy along the way.”

Cowell said that he believed anything was possible and that they were “all rooting for you” to do well. After getting a drink of water to calm her nerves, Lockhart sang the first few bars of “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” a cappella, but Cowell stopped her.

“I stopped you because I liked you, but it just wasn’t working for me,” he said, and the audience gasped. “AGT” then left viewers in suspense with a commercial break.

Judges Gave Charity Lockhart a 2nd Chance With New Song

After a commercial break, Cowell asked if Lockhart had another song she could sing, saying, “I really want this to work for you, and I know this is a lot of pressure.”

Lockhart said she’d do her best and chose to sing the Beatles’ “Golden Slumbers” with piano accompaniment. As she sang, the judges looked smitten and all wound up giving her a standing ovation.

“This is what a great audition is all about,” Cowell said, telling Lockhart people would be talking about her the following day.

Mel Be, still standing, told Lockhart before hitting the Golden Buzzer, “Every once in a while, you see somebody, you connect with them, and they just bring more and more to the table. I think you’re amazing and I want to give you this right now!”

The singer covered her mouth in shock and hugged Mel B on the stage as golden confetti fell around her. She’ll now get to move on to the live shows in August, bypassing other rounds of the competition.
