‘America’s Got Talent Season 20 Contestants & Spoilers

“America’s Got Talent” Season 20 will premiere on Tuesday, May 27 at 8 p.m. ET on NBC. It can also be streamed a day later on Peacock. The reality TV competition is celebrating its milestone season, teasing a few spoilers to help generate excitement, and this includes revealing the first Golden Buzzer act and a range of performances, including comedy acts, contortionists, and even an aerial rollerskating team!

Who Will Be Judging on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 20?

Fan favorite judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara are reprising their roles as judges on “America’s Got Talent.” The show has bid farewell to longtime judge Heidi Klum, who first joined AGT in 2013 for Season 8. Apart from taking time off for Season 14, Klum has served as a judge until Season 19. But it’s not all bad news because former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, better known as Mel B, is taking her spot!

Fans of the series already know that Mel B does a great job as she was a judge for Season 8 until Season 13. The singer’s return was shared on Instagram, and fans have reacted to her casting with great excitement, suggesting she is the right woman for the job. She is also in a better place in her life. “In my final year on AGT, I was not in a good place,” Brown told Life&Style in an interview on May 23. “So, this feels like a triumph for me. There is hope. You can piece your life back together with the support of good people around you.”

Terry Crews will return as host, and the prize money will remain $1 million.

Who Will Be Performing on ‘America’s Got Talent?’

The live shows for “America’s Got Talent” will only start in summer (and are expected around August), but a list of performers for the premiere has been announced. Parade reports that they include a contortionist who goes by the name of Amadou, also known as lastic boy,’ Jacquline and Wagne, who are an aerial rollerskating team, street performer Jourdan Blue, Marty and Michael, who will perform a comedy act, and a dance crew called Team Recycled.

These are just five of the 11 acts (and 20 performers) announced to perform this evening, and the AGT has attracted people from all over the world. Performers come from Brazil, Australia, Germany, and various states across the United States.

There is also a returning act from AGT Season 1, Jessica Sanchez, who hopes to fulfill her dreams this time around! And the first magician to be announced for Season 20 is Zak Mirz (you can see more of what he does in the clip below).

A new format for the way “America’s Got Talent” Season 20 is filmed will also make audiences feel more included. This will be done by sharing glimpses into how things operate and more behind-the-scenes moments, ScreenRant reports.

Finally, we also know that the first Golden Buzzer was given by Mel B to two brothers who performed a daring and entertaining knife-throwing routine, which also included them taking off their clothes and then putting them back on again. A clip of their performance was shared on Instagram on May 23.
