The auditions on “America’s Got Talent” season 20 continue tonight on NBC, as the week 8 acts take the stage for the “AGT” judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Melanie “Mel B” Brown. It will be a busy night of performances, as we find out who will move on to the next round and which acts will be sent home.
Sixteen Acts Take the ‘AGT’ Stage Tonight
For tonight’s auditions, the judges will see 16 acts perform for a spot in the next round of the show. Will any of them get the Golden Buzzer?
Time will tell, but NBC gave a sneak peek of Darien Johnson and Scott Mathison using Mel B and Sofia Vergara as part of their audition. It definitely was a new twist on weightlifting, but enough to get enough yes votes? Find out tonight!
1. Darien Johnson & Scott Mathison
They each do extreme workouts through their own social media channels. They have viral videos that have over 200 million views. The guys joined forces and want to break into Hollywood and do stunts. The judges were hesitant, as they didn’t know how they’d make it interesting. It didn’t take long to impress them, as the guys started throwing weights around the stage, back and forth to each other.
They then pull Sofia and Mel B onto the stage. The guys then start throwing the weight back and forth to each other, but over the judges’ heads. Sofia and Mel B were scared, but the fellas made it work.
Judges’ Comments: Mel B said what they do is fit and hot. Sofia said it’s very interesting and they’ve never had anything like this on “AGT.” Howie said they checked a lot of boxes, and he loved it. Simon said it was surprising and very difficult. Terry said people don’t realize how hard it was. It’s four yeses from the judges, and they are moving on to the next round.
A quick look, as Sunny Sauceda took the stage, and it was a no from the judges. Howie said he thought it would be good for a bar, but doesn’t get it. Even though Sunny is a Grammy-winning artist, he was sent home on “America’s Got Talent” 2025.
3. Silas Luke Jones
He was born and raised in Alaska, so he doesn’t get to perform like this a lot. He is super nervous after seeing the judges his the “X” for some of the acts. It’s a weird act and a slow build, as he is just playing the guitar. He definitely won the crowd and judges over, as everyone was on their feet.
Judges’ Comments: Sofia said what an audition, and that was insane, and he became a rockstar in front of their eyes. Howie said he is an Alaska techno Hendrix. Mel B said he is one of a kind. Simon said he is very nice and very humble, and he just turned into that. He has a special talent. It’s another four yeses from the judges.
4. Unreal Crew
This dance group from India said “AGT” is the place where dreams can be realized. Their families wanted them to become lawyers or doctors, but they all wanted to be dancers. They said dance has given them everything, and while their parents have never supported their dance, if they achieve something great, then they might support them.
They are a very flexible group of dancers. Unreal Crew put their bodies in some very funky positions and make you wonder how they are doing it. So many tricks and mind-blowing techniques. The judges are all shocked and the crowd is loving it.
Judges’ Comments: A standing ovation from the “AGT” season 20 judges. Simon said he was slightly speechless; it was so creative, brilliant, and scary. Sofia said perfect audition. Howie said they deserve everything and because of that, he hits the Golden Buzzer and they are moving on to the live shows! He said they are his favorite act of season 20 and they are going to take it all the way.
5. Evelyn Errante
She is just 13 years old, but says she loves singing everywhere. Evelyn is pumped to be here, and has a huge smile on her face. While she has some nerves, which is to be expected for a 13 year old, she comes out strong with a huge smile on her face. She is a musical theater person and would love to make it on Broadway.
Evelyn comes out singing “Defying Gravity,” which is one of the most iconic Broadway songs out there. She has such a solid voice, especially for someone who is only 13 years old. I was wondering how she would handle those big notes at the end, but she definitely nailed it.
Judges’ Comments: Sofia said she is perfect for what she wants to do, and it was amazing. Howie said she is a lovely young lady who knows exactly what she wants to do. Mel B said that by the time she gets to 18, her voice is going to be amazing. She has a lot of work to do, but she gives her a yes. Sofia is a yes also, but Howie is a no. Simon said he can’t stand that song, but she has a lot of guts to come out here and sing that song. They should encourage someone with that much ambition on this show, so he is a yes also, and she is moving on.
6. Tej, Ibhan, & Lars
They met 10 years ago and they are best friends. They work in tech, but don’t perform a lot and just brainstorm ideas together. The guys bring the judges bowls of fruit. They try to throw the fruit on the stage to get into blenders taped to their heads. It’s a “Human Blender” trick, which doesn’t seem to go over well with anyone. Howie was a quick “X” and while the other judges let them finish, it’s when they bring out a long straw and make Simon taste it that makes Mel B and Sofia hit the “X” for the rest of them.
Judges’ Comments: Simon thought they were inventive and funny and thought people would like them. That must have worked to change the other judges’ opinions, as Howie and Mel B take back their “X” votes and vote yes. Sofia was still a no, but Simon was a yes and they are moving on.
7. The Jet Boys
They came to “America’s Got Talent” 2025 from Japan. They are a dance crew that has been together for about two years. Simon asked if they came here to win, and they said yes. Not going to lie, this one started like they weren’t going to be very good. However, the guys started dancing and they were very good and very much in sync. Then they started singing too and everyone was shocked and blown away.
Judges’ Comments: Howie said they put on an amazing show, but they aren’t good singers. Mel B said she disagrees, and they could feel their energy coming off the stage. Sofia said it was surprising and great. Simon said he is glad they sang for them, and they have so much potential. It was hard to see, though, if they had someone with a solid lead vocal. He was a yes, along with Mel B and Sofia and they are moving on.
8. Dewayne “Insane Wayne” Jackson
He grew up in a house of seven people. Dewayne got his barber license and has been doing hair ever since. Then he was dared to do stand-up and has been doing it for 25 years now. He said he is a stand-up comedian with a sit-down perspective, as he is in a wheelchair. Insane Wayne takes his disability and makes a whole set about it that was very funny. He had all of the judges laughing.
Judges’ Comments: Howie said there is no question, he is amazing, likable, and memorable. Simon said that was one of the best auditions we’ve had today, and he’s naturally funny. Mel B said he made her belly laugh. It was four yes votes from the “AGT” 2025 judges.
9 – Brandon Raffo: A quick look at a very, very fast juggler. They didn’t show much about him, but the judges loved him and Mel B said he makes juggling sexy. He got four yes votes and is moving on to the next round.
10. Rich and Carlene
In 1970, they met at a hoedown. They got married and are now celebrating their 50th anniversary. Carlene said they are the show’s biggest fans and haven’t missed one episode. They shock everyone when they say they are going to have a competitive eating contest, and see which one can eat faster.
Everything about this is just odd. It’s a lot of food and just weird to watch.
Judges’ Comments: Simon said it brought back memories of the first time he took Mel out to dinner. Mel B said they are a sweet couple, and it looks quite savage. Sofia said it’s difficult to decide if this is an “AGT” act. Howie said it’s a no, but in the most loving way. All of the other judges agree and this couple is headed home.
11. Chris Turner
He is 35 years old and from Manchester, England, which makes Mel B excited. This is his first time auditioning for “America’s Got Talent,” as he got his American citizenship a few months ago. He said he is a freestyle rapper, which shocks everyone.
Chris starts by taking five random suggestions from the judges and Terry, which turned into empanadas with meat, sparkly pants, innie belly button, ripe, juicy papayas, and quantum physics. He takes those suggestions and turns them into a decent rap song. He gets the crowd and judges loving him. It’s entertaining and keeps the audience intrigued to see how he works those suggestions into a song.
Judges’ Comments: Howie said it was exciting, and he was fascinated by him. Mel B said that it’s such a talent. Simon said it was so clever and original. Sofia said the best of the day. It’s four yes votes from the judges.
Some Quick Looks
12 – Ksenia Angel: While Chris Turner shocked us with his rapping skills, Ksenia shocked us with her rapping skills, but in a bad way. It was four “X’s” from the judges and she is heading home.
13 – Campus Univers Cascades: They get right into the action, as the group bascially creates a scene from a movie. They are doing stunts and Simon said it’s one of the craziest days, but he loved it. Sofia said she loved it. The judges all loved it and they are moving on to the next round.
14 – Andy Wigman Yu: He is bald underneath and comes out dancing and switching wigs throughout his routine. The judges are just confused about what is happening tonight. It’s a no for the Wigman.
15 – Alexa Morales: She comes out all prim and proper. She said she’s won a Grammy with a choir, but now wants to show the world what she can do. Alexa goes back to change and comes out as the “Wearfox Lady,” dressed in a costume. She starts singing and immediately gets four “X’s,” and the judges question how she won a Grammy.
16. Goldie Hen
It’s the final act of the night on “AGT” season 20 tonight, and things just keep getting weird, as we now have a lady dressed as a chicken hit the stage. She is described on Instagram as “The World’s Only Hula Hooping Chicken.” While the whole act is weird and wild, she is a very good hula hooper, even doing like 20 hula hoops at one time.
Judges’ Comments: Simon can’t stop laughing. He said it was so funny and he loved it. Howie said she does have a talent, but what goes beyond this? Mel B said she lives on a farm and has 12 chickens, so she is a yes. Sofia is a no, but Howie and Simon are yeses, and the chicken is moving on.
